Connecting to Multiple IntelePACS (Multiple Session InteleViewer)
If your facility contains more than one IntelePACS, you can separately connect to as many as required and start InteleViewer sessions for each. Each InteleViewer window corresponds to the IntelePACS that it is connected to; you cannot access studies from one IntelePACS in another’s window.
Your user privileges correspond to your user account on the IntelePACS server to which you are connected; therefore, it is possible that one InteleViewer session can have tools and features that another one does not.
This feature is not available if your local network uses a proxy server to connect to external networks, including the networks for IntelePACS. For more information, see your PACS administrator.
To open multiple sessions:
-
Start InteleViewer and log in to the first server to which you want to connect. See Starting InteleViewer.
The name of the IntelePACS to which you are logged in is displayed in the titlebar of the InteleViewer window.
-
From the main menu, choose File | New Session or press Ctrl+Shift+N.
The Login window appears.
You can also start a new session by double-clicking the InteleViewer icon on your desktop or in the Quick Launch bar, or if no InteleViewer icon exists, choose InteleViewer from the Windows Start menu.
-
Choose another IntelePACS that you want to connect to from the Bookmarks list.
If there is no bookmark for the server, add one. See Working with Server Bookmarks.
-
If the server login includes a “Log in to” list, you must select either the PACS server (the first option in the list) or the LDAP system your account belongs to. If you do not know which option to select, contact your PACS administrator.
-
Enter your user name and password in the corresponding fields, and then click
.
A second InteleViewer session starts and is connected to the new IntelePACS. The IntelePACS name displayed in the titlebar of each window indicates the PACS to which it is connected.
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 for each new session you require.
