About the Dictated and the Transcribed Worklists
As a transcriptionist, you can access the Dictated worklist to see dictations that are available for transcription, and dictations that are being transcribed by other transcriptionists.
The Dictated worklist may include draft transcriptions which are dictations that contain report text. A radiologist creates a draft transcription by using MMR to dictate the audio report and add text to the dictation before sending it to you.
Your site must be configured to allow for draft transcriptions. For more information, contact the Intelerad Technical SupportCenter.
After you have transcribed a dictation, the transcribed report, also called a transcription, appears in the Transcribed worklist.
The Transcribed worklist displays your transcriptions that have been transcribed in the last 24 hours, and transcriptions that are waiting to be signed, or have been signed by a radiologist. To find older transcriptions that were transcribed by you and other transcriptionists, you must do a search by accession number in the Transcribed worklist.
You can edit the transcribed report before the radiologist signs it. Once the radiologist has signed the report, it can no longer be edited.
The 24-hour time period can be configured by Intelerad Technical Support. For more information, contact the Intelerad Technical SupportCenter.
To view the Dictated and Transcribed worklists, you need the Transcribe Report privilege.
If your workflow uses grouped procedures, a single report can relate to multiple procedures within an order, as selected by the reporting radiologist.
To find the dictations and reports that you require, you can apply filters and sort the worklists. For example, you can filter by priority or modality and then you can sort the filtered results by Patient Name or Study Description.
When you select a dictation from the Dictated worklist or a transcription from the Transcribed worklist, it opens in a separate tab which contains the Transcription editor. For dictations, you can listen to the dictation, transcribe the dictation, and then send the preliminary report to the reporting radiologist for signature. For transcriptions, you can edit the report, and then send it to the reporting radiologist for signature.
If Resident Over-Reads is enabled, and a fellow or attending radiologist is assigned to review the dictation, the Reviewers column displays either an for fellow and an
for attending. When you hover over the icons in the Reviewers column, the names of the assigned fellows or attending radiologists are displayed. The Reviewers column is only available in the Dictated worklist.
Both worklists are refreshed automatically every five minutes. You can refresh the list yourself by clicking the Refresh button or by pressing F5.
The five-minute refresh period can be configured by Intelerad Technical Support. For more information, contact the Intelerad Technical SupportCenter.
