Displaying the Text Overlay and Image Overlay

You can display or hide the text overlay and image overlay information. Image overlays are displayed by default. For text overlays, your user preferences determine the color of the text, the information contained in the text overlay, and whether the text overlay appears automatically when you open images.

When displaying the text overlay information for a prior study from the current patient, a colored filled rectangle appears behind the series date and time text overlays that matches the color scheme used to differentiate between prior studies. For studies from another patient, a gray filled rectangle appears behind the series date and time and patient name text overlays.
