Viewing Studies with Cerner Visual Desktop Integration (VDI)

Cerner VDI displays patient information that is not available in InteleViewer: for example, patient electronic medical records. For information on using Cerner VDI, refer to your Cerner product documentation.

To use this feature, ask your PACS administrator to enable the Cerner VDI and Third-Party RIS privileges in your user account.

To view studies in Cerner VDI:

1. Open the study that you want to view.

2. From the main menu, choose Utilities | Launch Cerner VDI or click the Cerner icon .

   The Cerner VDI software launches and displays the selected images by either accession number, or by patient ID or number, as configured in the Cerner VDI preferences.
