Viewing 3D Images

Depending on your IntelePACS configuration, InteleViewer can be used to launch the IntelliSpace Portal (from Philips), AquariusNET or iNtution (from TeraRecon Inc.), Voxar 3D (from Barco), or versions 1 or 2 of Vitrea (from Toshiba) to view 3D reconstructions of image data.

To view 3D images, you must first configure the IntelliSpace Portal, AquariusNET, Voxar 3D, or Vitrea preferences.

To use these applications, ask your PACS administrator to enable the Third-Party Viewer privilege in your user account.

To view 3D images in the IntelliSpace Portal:

1. Open the series whose images you want to view.

2. From the main menu, choose Utilities | Launch IntelliSpace Portal, or click the IntelliSpace icon .

   The IntelliSpace Portal viewer launches automatically, and retrieves the series images from the IntelliSpace Portal server.

To view 3D images in AquariusNET Viewer:

1. Open the series whose images you want to view.

2. From the main menu, choose Utilities | Launch AquariusNET Viewer or click the AquariusNet icon .

   The AquariusNET viewer launches automatically, and retrieves the series images from the AquariusNET server.

   For information on using the AquariusNET features, please refer to your product documentation.

To view 3D images in iNtuition Viewer:

1. Open the series whose images you want to view.

2. From the main menu, choose Utilities | Launch iNtuition Viewer or click the iNtuition icon .

   The iNtuition viewer launches automatically, and retrieves the series images from the iNtuition server.

   For information on using the iNtuition features, please refer to your product documentation.

To view 3D images in Voxar 3D:

1. Select the series whose images you want to view.

2. Choose Utilities | Launch Voxar 3D or click the Voxar 3D icon.

   The Voxar 3D viewer launches automatically and displays the selected image, typically in MPR view. However, the startup view mode may vary at your IntelePACS or a different option can be configured in the user preferences.

To view 3D images in Vitrea 3D (version 1):

1. Select the series whose images you want to view.

2. To launch Vitrea 3D, choose Utilities | Launch Vitrea Core 3D or click the Vitrea Core 3D icon in the main menu .

   The Vitrea 3D viewer launches automatically and displays the selected image.

To view 3D images in Vitrea 3D (version 2):

1. Select the series whose images you want to view.
2. To launch Vitrea Core 3D, choose Utilities | Launch Vitrea3D or click the Vitrea 3D icon in the main menu .

3. To launch Vitrea Advanced, choose Utilities | Launch Vitrea Advanced or click the Vitrea Advanced icon in the main menu .

   The Vitrea Core 3D or the Vitrea Advanced viewer launches automatically and displays the selected image.
