Using a Foot Pedal to Listen to Dictations

You can use a foot pedal to transcribe dictations by controlling dictation playback with your foot while you keep your hands free to type.

You can configure the time, in milliseconds, that the audio will automatically rewind after you release the Play pedal. This buffer ensures that you will not miss audio when you stop, and then restart, transcribing. You can also configure the speed with which the audio advances when you use the Rewind and Forward pedals. For more information, contact your PACS administrator.

To use a foot pedal:

  1. Plug the foot pedal into the USB port of your workstation.
