Managing Quick Texts

Quick texts are standard replies to common scenarios that you can reuse in draft reports. Creating quick texts saves you time when dictating reports.

For example, when reporting on normal heart imaging, you may want to define the following standard text as quick text: “The cardiac silhouette is normal in size. The thoracic aorta is normal in caliber.”

The Quick Text Manager allows you to create, modify, rename, duplicate, and delete quick text. You can also associate quick texts with one or more modalities, body parts, or both.

You can also view another user's quick texts. You cannot edit another user's quick texts, but you can use the Quick Text Manager to duplicate their quick texts to add to your personal quick texts list.

If you are using InteleViewer with M*Modal and IntelePACS 4.4.1 or later, you will see a list of public quick texts, as well as your own, in the Quick Texts panel. If you are using InteleViewer connected to IntelePACS 4.11.1 or earlier, the Owner list is disabled.
