Saving Teaching Cases

Once you have finished creating or editing a teaching case, send it to the IntelePACS to save it. The teaching case images are saved with the original study, but can be searched for separately from the originating study.

To save a teaching case:

  1. Create the teaching case and manipulate the images as required.
  2. Choose File | Send Teaching Case Images To PACS or click Send Image To PACS Send Image To PACS button.

The teaching case images are saved with the original study on the IntelePACS, and the teaching case is linked to any associated collections.

You later can search for the case itself or the associated collections by using the Search tool. See Searching for Teaching Cases and Collections.

Saving newly anonymized teaching cases may take up to a few minutes. Upon selecting a newly anonymized teaching case in the Teaching Case tab, you may see its Series list empty, along with the following notification below: “The selected teaching case contains [x] series that has been deleted from IntelePACS”, where [x] is the number of series included in the teaching case. This notification simply means that the anonymization is still in progress. It will be hidden, and the missing series will be displayed in the list, as soon as the process is completed.
