Series Display
These options control various aspects of how each series is displayed, including the layout of images in the viewport, the default window level setting, and the display of text overlay and orientation icons. However, they are not used to determine if the layout protocol matches a given study.
You can set Series Display options for each series match and viewport location that you create. For example, if you create a series match called “RT LAT” and assign it to multiple viewports, you can set these options independently for each viewport.
To set the series display options:
-
The Layout dialog appears.
-
Click the required layout icon. To choose a custom layout, enter the number of rows and columns in the corresponding fields.
The icons indicate the way in which multiple images will appear in the series viewport, organized in rows and columns. For example, a 2 x 3 layout will display a total of six images in the viewport, organized in two rows and three columns.
- Configure the initial Grayscale/Color Map Mode of the image. You can choose: From DICOM Data, Inverse of DICOM Data, Low Pixel Values as White, or Low Pixel Values as Black.
-
Choose an option from the Image Interpolation While Dragging list.
Choose:
To:
Reduced Image Quality (faster)
Obtain higher speed by reducing the image quality when using tools that require you to drag on screen (for example, when stacking, zooming, or panning).
Better Image Quality (slower)
Retain higher image quality while using tools that require you to drag on screen (for example, when stacking, zooming, or panning). This option may result in reduced performance while dragging.
-
Choose an option from the Initial Image Display Location list to customize the image in the series that is displayed by default.
You can choose Beginning of Series, Middle of Series, or End of Series.
-
Set the default window level. See Adjusting the Window Levelling.
The window level may be a non-standard setting. If this is the case, you may want to set the window level in the layout protocol to one of the window level presets (such as Auto: Low Contrast).
- To display the related patient, study, and image information when you open images, enable Show Text Overlay.
- To display image orientation labels when appropriate to the series, enable Show Image Orientation.
-
To set the rotation angle of the image, select the required degree level.
You can choose 0°, -90°, 180°, or 90°.
- To set the size of the series relative to the viewport, click the up-arrow button or down-arrow button. You can also enter the required percentage.
