Displaying Intensity Values

The intensity values of pixels and their location on the X and Y planes of the image are interactively displayed in the status bar as you move the cursor on an image. For CT studies, the attenuation coefficient of different types of tissue is measured and displayed in Hounsfield units (HU). For other modalities, pixel intensity values at the current cursor location, which may (or may not) have been calibrated by the scanner, appear.

When zooming, panning, stacking, or adjusting the window level, pixel intensity values are not displayed until you have finished your adjustments.
