Accessing the Structured Report Viewer

The Structured Report Viewer provides access to Basic Text Structured Reports, Enhanced Structured Reports, and Comprehensive Structured Reports. Any changes you make to the size and location of the Structured Report Viewer will be remembered the next time you open the Structured Report Viewer.

To open the Structured Report Viewer:

  1. Find the study that contains the structured report you require. See About Searching for Studies.

    In the Study list of the Search tool, the structured report is indicated by the modality “SR”.

  2. Open the study. See About Opening Studies and Series. Choose Reports | Show Structured Reports.

    The Structured Report Viewer automatically opens when you load a study containing only structured reports.

    The Structured Report Viewer opens and a progress bar appears in the bottom left corner of the window to indicate the progress of the retrieval and conversion of the structured document. You can cancel the retrieval and conversion of the structured document at anytime by clicking Cancel. The progress bar disappears when the complete structured report has been retrieved and converted.

    Once the retrieval and conversion is complete, the structured report information for the selected study appears in the Structured Report Viewer. Along the top, tabs represent the structured reports available for the selected patient. The name of the tab reflects the series description. If the series description is empty, then the name used is “SR Document”. The tabs are arranged by structured report date and time, starting with the most recent on the left to the oldest on the right. By default, the most recent structured report appears opened in the Structured Report Viewer.

    When the Show Tooltips preference is enabled, the tab shows the series description when you place your cursor over the tab.

  3. Click the tab for the structured report that you want to access.

    If the Structured Report Viewer is closed and you want to view a structured report, you can click the Reports menu and choose the structured report that you want to view for that study.

    To go to a specific location in the current structured report, click the provided link.
