Starting InteleViewer from a Remote Connection

You can connect to a version of InteleViewer installed on a server. Accessing InteleViewer by using a remote connection enables you to use InteleViewer to view reports and images without dealing with software upgrades or installations. Your PACS administrator sets up your remote connection to InteleViewer for you.

Certain features are not available when accessing InteleViewer by remote connection.

  • InteleViewer cannot import DICOM data from CD-ROM and other local sources.
  • InteleViewer cannot send data to the PACS.
  • CD/DVD burning is not available.
  • Depending on your configuration, dictation is not permitted and the Worklist tab is unavailable.
  • Automatic upgrades are not permitted.
