Series Matching
For PT, RF, ES, NM, OT, and XA studies, or optionally for CT, MR, US, and X-ray studies, you can define a series description match that allows you to distinguish particular images (such as, localizer or scout images or modality screenshot images), scanned requisitions, or other paper forms to let InteleViewer know which series or document to display.
Use the Series Description option in the Matching Criteria (Input) section of the View Editor to specify the text that will be used to identify the series or document. For example, if the series description in the US View Editor specifies the Equals operator and the text “scan req,” and “Any” is chosen for the Ultrasound Type option, then InteleViewer will match the view to an ultrasound study containing the series description “scan req.”
If you set matching criteria other than "Any", the view matches specific series only. In this case, all non-diagnostic images (generic datasets), such as a scout images and scanned documents, are ignored and will not match the view, regardless of the series description setting.
The series matching criteria that you enter is case-insensitive and will appear with the operator in the View Details panel of the View Library. For example, if the series description specifies the Contains None Of operator and the text “delay,” the View Library will show a view with the text label “Match: Not delay” and the View Details pane will show the text “Series description contains none of: delay.”
Choose an operator in the following table to determine how the series description should match the text.
Choose: |
To match series descriptions that: |
---|---|
Contains All Of |
Contain all of the specified text, in any order. Use quotation marks to specify exact phrases. |
Contains Any Of |
Contain at least one of the specified text, in any location. Use quotation marks to specify exact phrases. |
Equals |
Contain all the text exactly as it appears, including spaces and without any additional characters. |
Begins With |
Begin with the specified text. Studies with the text located elsewhere in the description (such as in the middle) will not be matched. |
Contains None Of |
Do not contain any of the specified text. |
Partial matches are supported for the Contains All Of, Contains Any Of, and Contains None Of operators. For example, entering “abdo” in the study description will match all studies that contain “abdomen pelvic” or “abdominal.”
