Calibrating Monitors for True Size
To use the True Size zoom feature in InteleViewer, where 1 millimeter on screen is equal to 1 millimeter in real life, you must calibrate your workstation monitors.
If either an image or your monitor is not calibrated, the True Size zoom text overlay specifies that this is the case.
Configure the display settings for your workstation monitors by entering the pixel pitch (the physical distance between pixels) of each monitor. Look for the pixel pitch information in the manufacturer specifications for your monitor. By calibrating your monitor you are also ensuring that GUI elements such as the radial menu and toolbar are scaled and displayed in the correct proportions, especially on large monitors.
If the pixel pitch information is not in the specifications, using a ruler, measure the width of the active area of each monitor in millimeters. Divide this value by the number of pixels to obtain the pixel pitch.
You have to calibrate monitors only once. If you change, add or remove a monitor, however, reenter the pixel pitch information in order to obtain accurate display information.
To calibrate the monitors:
-
In InteleViewer, choose Utilities | Monitor Calibration.
The Monitor Calibration window appears.
- Select the monitor to calibrate, enter a value for each monitor.
-
Click OK.
Your monitors are calibrated.
