Hiding Report Templates from the Templates Menu
In the Multi-Method Reporting window, when you attempt to choose a report template from the Template menu, there may be too many report templates shown, making it difficult for you to select the template you want to use. To reduce the number of report templates shown, you can hide them from the Templates menu.
When you hide a report template, its matching rules are ignored and the report template is never matched. For example, if a CT study is opened for dictation and the only matching CT report template is hidden, then a blank template is used instead of the CT template.
If all report templates are hidden, the Template menu is empty. When a report is opened for dictation, M*Modal uses the default template created by your PACS administrator. The draft template may include blank sections for Indication, Comparison, Technique, Findings, and Impression.
To hide report templates from the Templates menu:
-
From InteleViewer, choose Utilities | User Preferences (Ctrl+U).
The User Preferences dialog appears.
-
From the Application menu, click Dictation System.
The Dictation System preferences for Multi-Method Reporting appears (unless InteleViewer is configured to use another dictation system).
-
Click Manage Template Matching.
The Manage Template Matching window appears.
-
Select at least one template row in the Manage Template Matching window. To select multiple template rows, do the following:
- Ctrl-click to select or deselect a row.
- Shift-click to select a range of rows.
When more than one template row is selected, the Mark All As button is renamed Mark Selected As.
-
Do one of the following:
- Choose Mark Selected As | Mark As Inactive.
- Right-click the selected row, or rows, and then select Mark as Inactive.
The selected templates are disabled and hidden from the Template menu. When you mark a report template as inactive, the template matching rules are also ignored.
You can also hide a single report template by clicking the Active column for the template you want to hide.
