Saving Key Images

Once you have finished creating and modifying your key image series, send it to the IntelePACS to save it. The key image series is saved with the original study. In the Search tool, a modality of “PR” and the words “KEY IMAGES” in the Series Description indicate that the series contains key images.

To save key images to the IntelePACS, you need the Send Data to PACS privilege. For more information, contact your PACS administrator.

To save a key image:

1. In the Key Image Composer, enter a description in the Series Description field.

   “Key Images” appears by default.

   

2. Do one of the following:

   • From the Key Image Composer menu, choose File | Send Key Images to PACS.
   • From the Key Image Composer toolbar, click Send Images to PACS .

   The key image series is saved with the original study on the IntelePACS.

   It may take a few moments for the key image series to appear in the Search tool, depending on the number (and location) of images being transferred.
