About Viewing Images
Once you have found the studies you require, open them to view the images. InteleViewer uses JPEG 2000 compression and an advanced streaming protocol to speed the delivery of high-quality images to your workstation by progressively refining image detail as it is displayed.
You can open studies located on the IntelePACS and other remote DICOM servers, or on your local workstation. A variety of tools, such as thumbnail images, configurable viewport layouts, and advanced layout management allow you to optimally organize your viewing area.
You can set image compression ratios to optimize delivery speed or view lossless images at full image quality. Lossless compression is a method of compressing and storing a digital image so that the original full-quality image can be reconstructed without any loss of image data.
