Assigning Series Matches to Viewports

Once you have defined the series matching criteria that you require for the layout protocol, you can reorganize the viewport layout as required by assigning them to selected locations.

You also can assign a series match to more than one viewport to display the same series multiple times (to view them with different window level settings, for example). Use the default series description “<ANY>” to indicate that no matching is required and any un-matched series can be assigned to the viewport location.

To assign a series match to a viewport:

1. Choose a Series Layout. See Series Layout.

   This procedure assumes that you have already created series matching criteria for the layout protocol.

2. Click a viewport to select it.

   The selected viewport is highlighted.

   

3. Click the Series Matching list and choose the series match that you want to assign to the selected viewport.

   Choose <ANY> to indicate that any unmatched series can be assigned to that location.

   

   The series match is assigned to the selected viewport. When studies are opened by using this layout protocol, the series that corresponds to the selected series match will appear in this viewport.

   

4. Repeat steps 2 to 3 as required to organize the viewport layout.
