Using the Oblique Tool

The Oblique tool allows you to view a reformatted series from any arbitrary point. You can reformat the original dataset along any plane, not just those orthogonal to the original data. The slice plane location and angle can be manipulated visually in a viewport, creating oblique views, and the resulting view updates dynamically.

To use the Oblique tool:

1. Open an MR or CT series.
2. Click the triangle icon  to expand the Advanced Visualization toolbar.

3. Click the Oblique tool .

   A blue crosshair appears.

4. Click and hold the left mouse button and move the crosshair.

   The slice orientation of the image changes.
