Viewing 3D Renderings

InteleViewer provides 3D visualization of images to facilitate clinical diagnosis and surgical planning. An orthopedic surgeon might find the 3D rendering to be helpful in examining a multifragmentary fracture of a leg prior to surgery, for example.

InteleViewer provides multiple pre-configured renderings for examining a dataset—such as Vessel Mono or Bone 3D Muscle—enabling you to emphasize various components of the images as needed.

3D rendering

To view a 3D rendering:

  1. Open the MR or CT series that you would like to render in 3D.
  2. Click the triangle icon Triangle icon to expand the Advanced Visualization toolbar.
  3. Click the 3D menu button 3D menu button to show 3D rendering tools.

An error message appears if your dataset cannot be rendered in 3D.

  4. Select the required rendering type from the menu.

The image appears in the 3D rendering you selected.
