Inverting Image Colors

Reverse the colors of an image to view it as white-on-black rather than black-on-white.

To invert image colors:

1. Select the required image.

   If a series contains multiple images, all images in the selected series are inverted. If linked mode is set in your modality preferences, you can invert several images simultaneously. For more information see, Linking Viewports to Manipulate Images.

2. If you selected a mammography image, choose the invert setting from the Invert menu .

   • Choose Invert Selected Image to invert only the selected mammography image.
   • Choose Invert All Images to invert all mammography images.

3. Click the Invert tool .

   

4. To reset the image color, click the Reset tool .

   In the case of mammography images, air gap suppression is applied to the inverted images, so that the parts of the image not covered by breast tissue remain black.
