Breast Tomosynthesis Images with Incorrect Slice Position

When viewing breast tomosynthesis images in an MLO view, InteleViewer displays Lateral (L) to Medial (M) indicators in the scrollbar. InteleViewer computes the positioning of slices from the ImagePositionPatient (0020,0032) DICOM element in each image. If the coordinates in this element are inconsistent with an MLO view, InteleViewer displays a warning icon instead of the position indicators.

This incorrect data in the ImagePositionPatient element comes from the tomosynthesis scanner, not InteleViewer. To correct the positioning information, contact the vendor for your tomosynthesis scanner.
