Broadcasting Messages

You can broadcast messages to all online users of a chat group, a particular specialty, or both. You might want to send messages to inform the users of important information.

To use this feature, ask your PACS administrator to enable the Message Broadcasting privilege in your user account.

To broadcast a message:

1. In the Start Chat list, choose Send Broadcast Message.

   The Send Broadcast Message dialog appears.

2. Use the Recipient field, Specialty checkboxes, or Group checkboxes to select the recipients of the broadcast message.

   The recipients appear in the Recipients area of the dialog.

3. In the Message to Broadcast area, type your message, and click Send.

   InteleViewer broadcasts the message to the recipients of the selected groups who are online at the time that the message is broadcast. The message includes the name of the user who sent the message, the message, and the day, date, and time of the message.
