Managing the Shared Voice Recognition Dictionary
While dictating with Multi-Method Reporting with M*Modal, the M*Modal Speech Understanding platform may have difficulty recognizing certain words. This may happen if the word is the name of a patient or doctor, a location, medication, or another non-standard English word that is not already defined by the M*Modal Dictionary.
To fix voice recognition problems, Multi-Method Reporting includes a Shared Voice Recognition Dictionary that allows you to do the following
- Add your own words and spellings. When you add a word to the Voice Recognition Dictionary, the word is available to all users.
- Modify added words and spellings. When you modify a word in the Voice Recognition Dictionary, the word is modified for all users.
- Delete words. When you delete a word, the word and spelling are no longer available to all users.
To use this feature, ask your PACS administrator to enable the Manage M*Modal Dictionary in your user account.
