Logging in Automatically

If you are working in an environment where multiple users access the same workstation, such as in a hospital ER, you can configure InteleViewer to save a default user name and password so that anyone can log in to InteleViewer without being prompted to enter login credentials.

The login credentials that InteleViewer uses for automatic login are the user name and password of the user account that is logged into InteleViewer when the Automatic Login feature is activated. Automatic login is specific to the workstation on which the feature is activated only. It is in effect for all users that start InteleViewer from that workstation. You can deactivate the Automatic Login feature when it is no longer required.

If you had to select an LDAP system or IntelePACS when you logged in to your session, the automatic login feature uses that same selection.

Two-factor authentication (MFA) is not compatible for use with the automatic login feature. Ensure that the Enable MFA user privilege is disabled in the user account that you use to activate Automatic Login.

To activate automatic login:

  1. From the main menu, choose Utilities | Automatic Login.
  2. In the Password window, enter your password and then click OK.

From now on, when you log in to InteleViewer, the user name and password fields are filled. You no longer need to enter this information to connect to InteleViewer.

If you had to select an LDAP system or IntelePACS when you logged in to your session, the automatic login feature uses that same selection.

To deactivate automatic login:

  1. From the main menu, choose Utilities | Automatic Login.

Make sure you have the username and password of the account that is being used for automatic log on.

  2. Enter the password for the user account indicated.

    Automatic Login is deactivated.
