Opening an Order in an Extension Window

Open a different order for the same patient in a secondary window. This window, an extension of the main InteleViewer window, allows you to perform regular InteleViewer actions separate from the primary InteleViewer window.

You can move the extension window anywhere in your monitor. InteleViewer retains the size and position of the extension window so the next time you open the extension window, it appears in the same location. Images in the extension window appear according to the grid layout preferences set for that modality in the User Preferences dialog. You can only open one extension window at a time.

Extension window

To open an extension window:

  1. Open an order.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Press e on your keyboard.
    • From the main menu, select Utilities | Show Extension Window.
    • Right click on the loaded study, and then from the radial menu that appears, click the Extension window button Extension Window button.
    • From the Thumbnail strip, click the Extension window button.

    The first series of the study you selected appears in the Extension window.

  3. Resize or move the window as required.
