Comparing Patients by using Multiple Thumbnail Views
When using multiple Thumbnail views, it is possible to view different patients in each Thumbnail view. You can use this feature to compare studies from two different patients, or for studies from the same patient when one of the studies is imported with different demographics.
To compare patients using multiple Thumbnail views:
- Open studies or series for the first patient that you want to compare in a new window. See About Opening Studies and Series.
- In the same window, add studies or series for the second patient you want to compare. See Adding Studies or Series to the Current Window.
-
In the Thumbnail view, click Image Thumbnails Settings.
The Image Thumbnails Settings menu appears.
- Enable Show Different Thumbnail Strip On Each Monitor.
- Resize the current window so that it spans across at least two monitors.
-
On the second monitor, in the Thumbnail view, right-click the bar above the Thumbnail strip and select a study for the second patient.
The Thumbnail strip shows thumbnail images for the selected study for the second patient. The list of studies associated with the second patient appears in the Studies list. If you drag a study to a viewport, the patient name and study date is highlighted. Beside the patient name, an exclamation icon
indicates that the study is from a patient with a different Patient ID than the current order.
