Verifying that All Images have been Viewed

Notification icons in the viewports, thumbnails, and Patient menu indicate when a series has been completely viewed, and when an entire study has been completely viewed. The word “VIEWED” also appears in the study panel for that study.

For a series to be considered viewed, all images in the series must have been fully rendered in the viewport at the specified image quality. When all images in a series are fully rendered in the viewport, the Viewed icon (a square displayed in the viewport and the thumbnail image) changes from hollow to solid.

Viewed icons

Viewing images in the Thumbnail strip does not update the status of the series.

In the case of single-image modalities, such as X-ray, the Viewed icon is updated immediately once the image is rendered in the viewport. In the case of related views in MR or CT series, where images are viewed by stacking (Auto Linked Stacking or Manual Stacking) or by using the 3D cursor, the Viewed icon is updated only once all images have been completely viewed.

If you are using the Image Scroller or Stack tools, whether each image is fully rendered depends on your stacking speed and specified image quality. Only the Cine tool forces every image to render before displaying the next.

You can configure how InteleViewer marks images as “Viewed”. For example, you can configure InteleViewer to mark as viewed only images that appear in a specific monitor.

The Viewed icon also appears next to the series in the Patient menu. The Displayed icon Displayed icon indicates the studies or series currently being viewed. The blue Displayed icon Displayed icon indicates the studies or series that have been completely viewed.

Indication of open series

A study is considered viewed when all of its series have been viewed. The Viewed icon appears next to studies in the Patient menu to indicate those that have been viewed. Key image series and teaching cases are always considered viewed.
