Multi-Method Reporting
These preferences affect audible feedback, how report templates are matched, and SpeechMike button mapping when using the M*Modal Speech Understanding platform with InteleViewer.
Start in Self-Editing Mode (MMR with M*Modal only)Use this to edit or create a draft report or addendum using the voice recognition process or by typing directly into the report. In this mode, the text is always inserted at the cursor location as you dictate.
Start in Live Mode (MMR with M*Modal only)Records your dictation immediately. You cannot edit by typing directly into the report in this mode. InteleViewer creates a draft report or addendum based on your audio recording and the selected report template. After this, InteleViewer automatically switches to self-editing mode.
Your PACS administrator can also create a profile template that by default automatically sets the dictation system to a either self-editing or live mode for your site. For more information, contact your PACS administrator.
Allow Click to Record on SpeechMikeInitiates voice recording when you click the Record button on the SpeechMike. When enabled, click the Record button to dictate and click it again to pause.
Use Audible Recording IndicatorEmits a beep when you begin a dictation.
Use Audible Voice Command IndicatorEmits a beep when a quick text or template change voice command executes successfully in self-editing mode.

To use this feature, ask your PACS administrator to enable the Manage Report Templates privilege in your user account.
Manage Report TemplatesOpens the Report Template Manager which you use to create, edit, rename, duplicate, and delete custom report templates. From here, you can also access the Quick Text Manager to edit and create quick texts.
Manage M*Modal Dictionary (MMR with M*Modal only)Opens the Shared Voice Recognition Dictionary window. Use this to fix voice recognition problems by adding your own words and spellings. To manage the voice recognition dictionary, your user account must be assigned the Manage M*Modal Dictionary privilege.
SpeechMike Button Mapping (MMR with M*Modal only)Configures the action of each SpeechMike button (EOL, F1—F4, INS/OVR). For example, you can assign the EOL button to the "Edit Report" action and the F1 button to the “Navigate to Next Section” action.
