Viewing Billing Information

To ensure that billing information is accurate, you can view the invoices for an opened order in the Billing Information panel of the Patient Record tab. The billing information appears as read-only. When a field has a hyphen instead of an amount, this indicates that the information is not available from the RIS. The totals, if available, are also provided by the RIS. You can also view the billing information for selected prior orders.

If you notice that billing information in an invoice is incorrect, incomplete, or missing, you can send a comment to the billing administrator to have the information corrected.

To view the billing information and to send comments to the billing administrator, your IntelePACS must be integrated with the source of the billing information. For more information, contact your Client Success manager.

To view billing information, ask your PACS administrator to enable the View Patient Billing Information privilege in your user account.

Billing information for priors

To view billing information for an order:

  1. From the worklist, open an order.
  2. Click the Patient Record tab for that order.
  3. Locate the Billing Information section.

    If there is more than one invoice for an order, each invoice is displayed in a separate tab.

  4. To view the billing information for related priors, select an order from the priors list.
  5. To send a comment to the billing administrator, type your comment in the Comments field, and then click Send.
