Editing Template Matching Rules
The Manage Template Matching window allows you to specify the matching criteria that determines the public or private template InteleViewer chooses when opening an order for dictation. These template-matching criteria correspond to order data—such as HL7 information associated with a RIS, for example.
To configure template-matching rules for public templates, ask your PACS administrator to enable the Manage Profile Templates privilege in your user account.
To edit template-matching rules:
-
From InteleViewer, choose Utilities | User Preferences (Ctrl+U).
The User Preferences dialog appears.
- From the Application menu, click Dictation System.
-
Click Manage Template Matching.
The Manage Template Matching window appears.
- From the Show menu, select My Templates, Public Templates, or All Templates.
- You can filter information in the Manage Template Matching window. See Filtering the Report Template List by Work Type.
- You can show the Work Type column to make it easier to identify report templates. See Applying Filters.
-
Select at least one template row in the Manage Template Matching window. To select multiple rows, do the following:
- Ctrl-click to select or deselect a row.
- Shift-click to select a range of rows.
When multiple template rows are selected, the Edit Selected Row button is renamed Edit Selected Rows.
If the Manage Profile Templates privilege is not assigned to your user account, the Edit Selected Row button is disabled when at least one public template is selected.
-
Click Edit Selected Row or Edit Selected Rows.
The Edit Rules window appears.
-
Use the Edit Rules window to edit the matching criteria for the selected template or templates.
Since editing the matching rules for public templates affects all users, you should be careful when changing matching rules for public templates. If you are unsure, contact your PACS administrator.
