Enabling Multiple Thumbnail Views

You can have a different Thumbnail view on each monitor to use different Studies lists and Thumbnail strips.

Each Thumbnail view shares the same Image Thumbnails Settings menu, but has its own Studies list and Thumbnail strip. You can select different studies on each Thumbnail view. For example, you could have one monitor with a Thumbnail view dedicated to prior studies and a second monitor with a Thumbnail view that only shows the current study.

To enable multiple Thumbnail views:

  1. Click Image Thumbnails Settings.

The Image Thumbnails Settings menu appears.

  2. To use a single Thumbnail view across all monitors, disable Show Different Thumbnail Strip On Each Monitor.
  3. To have different Thumbnail views per monitor, enable Show Different Thumbnail Strip On Each Monitor.

When using multiple Thumbnail views with a sequence protocol, by default, the current study is shown in the left-most Thumbnail view, the most recent prior study is shown in the second Thumbnail view, and other priors are shown in the Thumbnail view for other monitors. The Thumbnail view in the last monitor shows all remaining priors. If the selected study is the last prior or the selected study has no priors, the study is shown on all monitors.

For example, if a sequence protocol references four priors on a three-monitor setup, the first Thumbnail view shows the current study, the second shows the most recent prior study, while the third and last Thumbnail view shows priors p+1, p+2, and p+3.

When using multiple Thumbnail view, each Studies list uses the same orientation (horizontal or vertical) and shows all (All) or only relevant (Relevant) studies. For example, if you switch one Studies list from vertical to horizontal orientation, all Studies lists are changed to horizontal.
