Configuring Mouse Wheel Navigation

Though the viewport layout determines how many series are displayed on screen, you can navigate sequentially through each series or select which one you want to view. To navigate through another study, you must first select it in the Patient menu.

For CR, DX, MG, US, XA, and RF studies, you can use the mouse wheel to navigate through series of single-image datasets. The mouse wheel can either update all viewports with the next page of series, or navigate through series in the current viewport only.

You can also use the mouse wheel to navigate through series during cine playback. For US, XA, and RF studies, select the Always Use the Mouse Wheel to Navigate modality preference to navigate through series when over a single- or multi-image viewport. If an active sequence protocol is associated with the modality, the Navigate Through menu also includes options for navigating through Steps and Priors.

To configure mouse-wheel navigation:

  1. With the series open in a viewport, click your mouse wheel.

    A navigation dialog appears.

  2. Select one of the following:

    Select:

    To:

    Series in All Viewports

Update all viewports with the next page of series.

    Series in Current Viewport

Navigate through series in the current viewport only.

To select a series:

  1. Open one or more studies. See About Opening Studies and Series.
  2. Select the viewport in which you want to view the study.
  3. Choose Patient, or right-click in the viewport.

The menu contains a list of the patients whose studies you opened. When you open a study, InteleViewer automatically finds all studies for the selected patient and lists them in this menu.

  4. Navigate to the required series in the menu and select it.

Studies and series for selected patient

Any difference in accession numbers between series causes the study date on the added series to be highlighted. Any difference in patient IDs causes the patient name on the added series to be highlighted.

If your workflow uses grouped procedures, one accession number can relate to one or more studies. Studies that contain the same accession number are considered part of the same order, and therefore will not be highlighted.

If you use linked orders in your workflow, all the linked orders have the same patient ID and are considered as the current order. As a result, the patient names in the selected series are not highlighted.
