Creating Impressions in the Patient Record Tab

You can create impressions in the Patient Record tab.

To use this feature, ask your PACS administrator to enable the Add Impressions privilege in your user account.

To create impressions:

  1. Open the order that you require.
  2. In the Impression controls of the Patient Record tab, click New.

    The New button is disabled if you are restricted from creating impressions for locked or dictated orders. For information, contact your PACS administrator.

    A text field appears. If any impressions have already been entered, they appear below.

  3. Enter your impression.
  4. To flag this impression as urgent, select High Priority.
  5. Click Add.

    The impression is saved.

To view impressions:

  1. Do either of the following:

    • In the Worklist tab, select the order that you require.
    • Open the order (from either the Worklist tab or Search tool) and view the Patient Record tab.
