Modifying Protocols

You can change the settings for existing print protocols to update them. Any changes you make to a printer’s default protocol will also be reflected in the printer parameters.

To modify a protocol:

  1. Choose Print | Film Print Protocol Settings or click Film Print Protocol Settings  Film Print Protocol Settings on the toolbar.
  2. Verify that the required printer is selected in the Printer list.
  3. Select the protocol whose settings you want to change from the Protocol list.

  4. Configure the settings as required. For example, change the layout and orientation.

    As you change the settings, the Protocol list updates and appends the word <custom> to the selected print protocol. Also, the Update Protocol and Remove Protocol buttons become active. See Customizing Individual Print Settings.

  5. Click Update Protocol.

    The new settings are saved with the protocol.

    You cannot revert to the previous version of the print protocol. Once you click Update Protocol, the new settings are immediately applied.
