Matching Candidates by RAMQ Number or Last Name
When using the RAMQ number or last-name method, InteleViewer calculates a candidate’s confidence level on the basis of the following patient criteria:

InteleViewer will not consider a patient a candidate if the RAMQ number or last name does not exactly match the current patient’s RAMQ number or last name; therefore, the minimum confidence level of a candidate will always be at least 35% (the weight given to the last name). The maximum confidence level of a candidate will never exceed 99% (the weight of all the criteria added together). A match of RAMQ number and gender, for example, yields a confidence level of 95%. A match of last name and date of birth yields a confidence level of 70%.
