Reading Images by using DSA
Use the Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) tool to improve the contrast of x-ray angiography images for greater definition of vessel structures.
The DSA tool is available for the XA modality only.
You cannot save X-ray angiographic subtracted images as key images.
To read the images in a series by using DSA:
- Click the required X-ray angiography image or series.
-
Click the DSA tool
.
The Digital Subtraction Angiography dialog appears.
-
Click and drag the Mask slider to select the image that is to be subtracted from all other images.
The mask is usually the first image in a series; however, in certain cases, it may not be the first one.
-
Click and drag the Landscape slider to select the percentage of the original image that is added back.
This can be useful if, for example, you want to determine what part of the body the vessel is in.
- When you have finished, click Close.
